BAYHYDUR ULTRA 401-70 MPA/X

BAYHYDUR ULTRA 401-70 MPA/X is a hydrophilically modified aliphatic polyisocyanate based on isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI). It is supplied at approximately 70% in 1-methoxypropylacetate-2/xylene solvent. BAYHYDUR ULTRA 401-70 MPA/X has a NCO content of 9.4% and viscosity of 600 mPa.s at 23°C. It is mainly used as the co-reactant for aqueous polyol binders to provide properties like resistance to chemicals and solvents. Being hydrophilic in nature, BAYHYDUR ULTRA 401-70 MPA/X can be easily emulsified in the aqueous phase of coatings. It improves the durability of aqueous two-component polyurethane coatings applied on assets exposed to harsh environments. BAYHYDUR ULTRA 401-70 MPA/X is compatible with many Desmodur, Bayhydur and Bayhydrol grades to formulate multi-functional coatings suitable for applications across industries ensuring long lasting protection and aesthetics.
